This guide covers how a studio registers for a competition event. Registration gives you access to the event portal. Entry submission, dancer management, and payments happen separately after registration.
Before You Begin
Make sure you have:
- A Kompdesk platform account with the Studio Owner role
- Your studio profile set up (name, contact email, city, country)
Step-by-Step Registration
Step 1: Go to the Event Page
- Browse available competitions or use a direct event link shared by the organiser
- Review event details: dates, location, fees, and the entries close date
Step 2: Click "Register"

- If you're not logged in, you'll be prompted to sign in or create an account first
Step 3: Select "Register as Studio"

- Accept the Terms and Conditions
- Click Register
- The system creates your studio's event registration
Step 5: Success
After registration you'll see:
- "Registration Successful!" confirmation
- Your studio's dancer registration code: share this with your dancers so they can self-register and link to your studio for this event
- A button to proceed to the studio event portal
What Happens Next (After Registration)
Registration gives you access to the studio event portal. From there, you can:
- Manage dancers: Add dancers to the event from your roster or register new ones
- Submit entries: Create routines (solos, duos, trios, groups) and assign dancers
- Track fees: View fee breakdowns and payment status
- View schedule: See when your dancers perform once the schedule is published
These steps happen inside the event portal and are separate from the registration process itself.
Deadlines
- Entries Close Date: Final deadline for submitting entries (displayed on the event page)
- After this date, only judge registration remains available
- Check with the organiser about their policies on late changes
Tips
- Register early to start managing dancers and entries ahead of the deadline
- Share the dancer registration code with your dancers so they can create accounts and access their own schedules and results
- Keep your studio's Contact Email up to date. Event communications are sent there
