What Are Styles?
Styles specify the categories of performance at your event (dance genres such as Ballet or Jazz, but also singing or drama categories if your event includes them). They are one of the four dimensions that define a section.
Selecting Styles
- Your organisation's existing styles are listed for selection
- Click a style to add it (appears as a badge)
- Click × to remove it
- Use the search bar to filter
Creating New Styles
Click "Add New Style" and enter the style name (e.g., "Acro", "Musical Theatre", "Freestyle"). The style is saved to your organisation for reuse.
Example Styles
Click "Add Example Styles" to see suggestions such as Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Tap, and more. Only styles not already added will be shown.
Important Notes
- At least 1 style is required to proceed
- Removing a style also removes any sections that use it
- Duplicate names are not allowed
