Wizard Step 11: Scoring and Results

Configure podium thresholds, result visibility, and when hidden results are revealed.

This step is optional. Configure how scores translate into placements, and control when results become visible.

Podium Thresholds

Toggle "Require Minimum Score" to enable podium thresholds. When enabled, dancers must achieve a minimum score to earn a podium placement.

FieldDescription
1st Place MinimumMinimum score required for 1st place (out of 100)
2nd Place MinimumMinimum score required for 2nd place (out of 100)
3rd Place MinimumMinimum score required for 3rd place (out of 100)

Scores must be in descending order: 1st place threshold ≥ 2nd ≥ 3rd.

When thresholds are enabled, a dancer who scores below the required minimum will not receive that placement, even if they are the highest-scoring entry. See the "How Ties and Rankings Work" article for detailed examples.

Result Visibility

Result visibility is controlled by two settings:

Results to Display: Choose what participants can see:

  • Display all results: Everyone can see all placements and scores as soon as a section is fully scored
  • Hide all rankings: No placements visible until the chosen reveal timing fires
  • Hide Top 3 / Top 4 / Top 5: Top placements are hidden; remaining are visible

When entries are hidden, every identifying detail is obscured (rank,
scores, routine, dancers, studio). There's no per-mode toggle. Pre-
2026-05-07 a "rank only" vs "rank and scores" choice existed; it
confused operators ("if it's hidden why are dancer names showing?")
and was collapsed to a single behaviour.

When to Reveal Hidden Results (six options):

  • Always show results: Results appear as soon as a section is fully scored, nothing is hidden
  • After each section: Reveal when all entries in a section have been scored
  • After awards ceremony: Reveal in pulses tied to each awards-ceremony schedule item. Sections without a triggering ceremony fall back to end-of-event
  • End of each day: Reveal results for a day once that day has been closed
  • End of event: Reveal everything once the last day is closed
  • Manual reveal: Hidden until you click "Reveal results now" on the dashboard, settings, or results page. Anything scored after the click stays hidden until the next click
Note (2026-05-07): The standalone "Publish Results" master
toggle was removed. Reveal timing is now the sole gate. Use **Manual
reveal** if you want full control over when participants see
results.

Skipping This Step

Check "I'll configure scoring settings later" to skip. These settings can be adjusted from the Event Dashboard at any time, even during the event.
