Can a Dancer Compete Under Multiple Studios at One Event?

Yes. A dancer can be registered under multiple studios at the same event.

Yes. A dancer can be registered under multiple studios at the same event. This is common when a dancer trains at studios that specialise in different styles.

How It Works

  • Each studio registers the dancer independently for the event
  • The registration fee is only charged once, to the first studio that registers the dancer. Subsequent studios are not charged again
  • Each studio can submit their own entries for the dancer
  • The dancer's portal shows entries from all their studios combined
  • Check-in only needs to happen once at the venue

Fee Handling

  • The registration fee is tracked per dancer, not per studio
  • If the studio that was charged the fee removes the dancer, the fee is automatically reassigned to the dancer's registration under another studio
  • Entry fees are always charged to the studio that submitted each entry

Common Scenarios

Q: My dancer trains at two studios. Can they enter under both at one competition?
A: Yes. Each studio registers the dancer and submits their own entries. The registration fee is only charged once.

Q: A dancer registered under Studio A but also needs to be under Studio B.
A: Studio B can register the dancer for the same event using their own studio code. The dancer will not be charged a second registration fee.

Q: Can a dancer register as independent AND under a studio for the same event?
A: Yes, though this is uncommon. The dancer would have separate registrations and each can submit entries independently.

Q: What happens if I remove a dancer who is registered under multiple studios?
A: Only the registration and entries under your studio are removed. Their registrations and entries under other studios remain unaffected. If your studio was charged the registration fee, it is reassigned to another studio automatically.
